I’m privileged to have a large group of friends and a lovely family.
I’m an outdoor person who loves trekking, walking with my dog Howard, horse riding and water sports, such as swimming and surfing.
I am committed to working for a better world and I make my retail purchases with that in mind. What we purchase and consume determines our values and the world we want, but thanks to societal pressures, we often have to make compromises.
I campaignon animal and human rights, social justice and environmental protection. All are intrinsically linked and important. To a degree, this has taken a back seat recently as I wish to develop my personal life.
I enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures, peoples and their ways of life.
My future aspirations include learning a musical instrument – probably the clarinet or saxophone – and painting landscapes and meaningful abstracts in water colours, and possibly ceramics. I fondly look back to my teenage years when I loved producing pots on the wheel.
I have recently completed a public speaking course and wish to develop that skill, too.
